Only His love Can Truly Satisfy My Soul

Have you ever felt that there must be something more to life ? Have you ever felt some kind of emptiness inside? There is an aspiration for something eternal in our heart. Human history is filled with man's quest to satisfy his deep inner thirst for God. There's nothing can satisfy that thirst that's in the human being, until God's love comes in. The joy of being in His presence satisfies us as nothing else can.

This empty world has nothing to offer, and nothing can fulfill us outside of the love of God. As we learn to “let go and let God”, to allow ourselves to be guided rather than insisting on control, we will begin to experience the peace and healing that comes with an awareness of God. This continuous awareness of God is to be achieved not after death, but here and now; that is what brings heaven on earth.

When God decided to create human beings, He wanted us to experience His love and dwell in His presence. God wants a loving intimate relationship with us that lasts forever. The human soul was designed for intimate relationship; recovery occurs when we are restored in oneness with God. If deep and spiritual intimacy with God is what humans seek, then relational or sexual intensity can never satisfy our deepest longings or heal our oldest wounds.

God made us to be loved perfectly by him — to be respected and treasured by him. But we often seek this love in other people, and are disappointed. Even if we were perfect we would not be able to fulfill this longing in each other. Our limited love can never be enough to give each other the true identity and value that only God can give.

Intimacy with God and soul fulfillment are always calling us. Our God given soul sensitivities are like road signs that point us in the right direction, and warn us whenever we go astray. We may try to ignore the signs, hoping to find satisfaction or happiness by pursuing our ego desires, but we can NEVER be satisfied until we have found rest for our souls in Him.

I have learned, the hard way, through my loss, pain, failures, tears and disappointment that there is nothing in this world can fill the emptiness of my heart except God's love. I have tried to fill the emptiness of my heart with career, money, relationship and ministry but I have found that only His love can truly satisfy my soul.
